Here's a little video I made of my summer so far this year. Check it out! Includes trials, mx, RedBud, skateboarding, and all sorts of randomness. It's kind of a chill song, so just sit back and relax. Yeahhhhhh.

Polo Trials Day 2
Today was my third time trying a trials event. And it went better than yesterday! It seemed like I was going to have a tough day after I scored a 5 on the first section, but things started rolling along pretty good.
There was one section where I crashed on two of my attempts, which wasn't so good. Aside from that negative, I had some really good positives by saving my scores several times. The hills were very loose, so once I got stuck, I thought it was pretty much impossible to get up it. But I used some technique I learned to just barely get up! I never thought I'd be so happy to get a 3...
With 73 points, I ended up getting 2nd place out of 8 guys! I'm pumped on that! The advanced class sections are rewarding to get through for sure.
I'll try to get some cool pics from the event up soon! I saw some that looked awesome.
See ya! -Greg

Polo Trials Day 1
Hey everybody! This weekend I'm giving another go at trials. So far so good! I entered the advanced class and hoped for the best.
The first sections we went over seemed so difficult! I had to take some 5 scores... On the second section we did I looped out on a steep uphill. Fun! Another one had three really big logs we had to go over, and the real challenging one was the last one. I was pumped that I jumped on top of it and made it without crashing!
The riding turned out pretty awesome, and we had a bunch of free time afterwards. Almost too much free time! Apart from the cool riding, I thought the best part of this place is that it has a shower with warm water. Yes, warm water!
This place, pretty much right next to Ki Tracks, is almost paradise. Another day left tomorrow!

Red Bud Regional: Sunday
Hey everybody! Today was the second and final day of the regional at Red Bud. There's good news and bad news. The good news is that I didn't crash at all! The bad news is that I also didn't ride that good all the time.
I had four motos. The first one was a Collegeboy moto. In that one I stalled my bike off the start (don't ask me how) and charged back up. I felt awesome riding in that one! I caught up to 29th, I think. I was happy with my ride, even though I didn't finish too good. The second moto was 450 B Mod. Mid-pack start, got passed by a bunch of guys. Finished 35th. For some reason I ride quite a bit better when nobody's by me. In that race I probably didn't ride too good because I saw at least two people get run over and at least five crash in the first four turns.
My sister and I rode bikes around and went to watch some of the other races in my free time. It's beautiful up on the hill!
My third Collegeboy moto didn't go that good, either. I thought I rode all right, but I guess not. Idk. Last race started from the back and passed some guys in the end.
Congrats to all the qualifiers!
Bye bye. -Greg

Red Bud Regional: Saturday
This weekend is the weekend of the Loretta Lynn's regional qualifier at Red Bud! Some things have happened, mannn, some things have happened.
The track was super rough today, as usual. This roughness caused some action, for sure! I had the later motos of the day, so I got to just ride a bike around with my sister for half the day. When my first moto came up in the Collegeboy class, I raced a totally average mid-pack race! Well, almost totally average. I guess I was in 13th when it happened. By "it" I mean when I got kicked off my bike a little, whiskey throttled, and jumped a bunch of feet down a hill, almost to a tree. Oh, and I just crashed off my bike and was totally fine at the end of it! Oh boy, if anyone was watching, they sure got a cool show! So I finished 24th in that...
My 450 B Mod went a lot more averagely. Ya know, the average mid-pack start, the average racing, to a 14th place. Wheeeee, I made it to the other motos of 450 B!
Because of the crazy crash and finish I had in Collegeboy, I had to go to the last chance qualifier to make it to the next motos. But a second place start and a third in the race was pretty good! I got into the next races from it.
I had a lot of time to kill today, kind of. Thank goodness for bikes! That's everything exciting that happened today. More action tomorrow!

Limestone 100 GNCC
Hello! This weekend, the last weekend of high school, I went to the Limestone 100 GNCC in Indiana. It was just a slight 5 hour drive down there. I didn't really know what I was going to do until Saturday night. It was between going to the Red Bud amateur race, or going to the GNCC.
I raced the 250 B class hoping to beat my finish from last time. My goal was to just not crash! And I almost did it, too! I got a mid-pack start and just tried keeping it on two wheels. I had a couple close calls, but I managed to stay up for the first 2 hours! The only bad thing that happened in the beginning was my camel-bak mouth piece coming off in the start. I just felt water pouring out of there... Luckily, physics was on my side and kept almost enough water in there for the whole race. Yay for physics!
I got kind of unraveled in the last two laps. I fell once in each lap and was just losing my flow. I started cramping up pretty badly. My right leg just wanted to stay! To compensate for that, I just stood up everywhere. The last lap was even worse with my arms, legs, and neck cramping up quite a bit.
I ended up getting 7th out of 14 in my class, which is better than last time! But just like last time, I don't feel so good..
See ya later, alligator! -Greg

Dutch Mx qualifier
Hola! I had a jam-packed weekend and am pretty tired now. I had prom on Friday night, math team state on Saturday, and Dutch Mx Loretta Lynn's area qualifier on Sunday. This is accompanied by a lot of traveling! Total, I've been on the road for about 800 miles from Friday through Sunday.
After watching supercross on tv on saturday night, we left for Dutch Sports Park with Cody VanBuskirk. Cody and I got to sleep the whole way there, of course. Yet for some reason I don't feel bad for our dads. Hehe
I went there because I wanted to qualify for the regional at Red Bud. I tried in the Collegeboy and 450 B modified classes.
Dutch is a sandy and hard pack track. There were a lot of different lines to take, too. I think it's the ideal track for being able to pass people. This fact worked to my disadvantage a little, too.
My Collegeboy motos went all right. In the first moto I got a mid-pack start and rode to an 11th place. On the last lap I did a kind of banzai pass down a straight to get my 11th back! That was the highlight of that race for me. The second moto went very similarly, as I raced to a 12th overall. That was a more difficult class.
My 450 B mod motos went quite a bit better. The first one started with me almost getting the holeshot! I got an awesome jump on the gate and just pinned it. I stayed in second place for a while, but eventually got passed. So I got 5th! The second moto went almost as good, with a 7th. You wouldn't think it, but I got a 4th overall! I'm pumped on that!
Here are several fun facts from the weekend:
-There was lightning and was supposed to be rain (but thankfully didn't!).
-an almost dead bug was on the front of our van.
-a random guy came up to us and talked about his cinco de mayo party.
-the average rut count per turn = 4.
-an unfortunate 65cc kid crashed pretty hard while we were watching. Awwww.
-the best line is the inside line.
-did I mention ruts?
-number of cheeseburgers eaten: 1.5
-the choice of shower was the bike wash station.
-the water was cold. 8|
-number of crashes: 0!
-number of Motos I beat Cody: 1
-number of Motos Cody beat me: 3
-my bike is awesome!
-there were no fun facts beside the bug-almost-dead thing.
Thanks for reading my pointless fun facts! Next weekend: GNCC time!
